Garfield is back and alive (he lived more than 7 lives since he was born in the late 1970’s) with the new movie (see picture of poster). For cats lovers, for those who like Garfield characters…and 4 the rest of us!. Garfield popularity increased from its birth to today. How can a cat defined by his sarcasm, laziness, and gluttony has so many followers and fans? They are many answers. Mine, was his philosophy around work: I had posters of his sayings in my office for over 20 years because they made me smile when circumstances made me angry or frustrated. This brooch was a gift in the early 1980’s. Exquisite details on that little broch made of leather and hand painted by a Canadian artist. Garfield’s looks changed drastically over the years and the brooch’s interpretation is more consistent with earlier years versions. Indeed from being a fat cat with small eyes he became a more expressive, anthropomorphic & humorous character. The brooch is definitively previous to 1984. But he is recognizable for sure!!!
