Circa 1930s majolica green and white ceramic pottery made in Portugal by Bordallo Pinheiro in a cauliflower cabbage design. This is a rare antique piece intended as a soup tureen or covered side dish serving bowl. The impressed mark on the back of the underplate indicates it was produced pre WWII. The black back stamps were done post-war. Ladle is not included. Would look beautiful displayed as a centerpiece on a dining buffet table or use for serving side dishes!
Condition notes:
One leaf handle on side has a broken tip that has been repainted to blend. Hairline separation near leaf handle that is covered when lid is on. Under plate has scratches from normal use expected with age.
Approximate measurements:
Underplate: 8”L x 7.25”W
Tureen with lid: 10”L x 7”W x 6.5”H
