This is for a piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) identified as a double-handled vase or open sugar bowl in the Higbee Pineapple (or Iris) pattern. They are more commonly referred to as a spooner. In earlier days, pre 1890's, the hostess would place this on the table to hold flatware, primarily spoons. They were a symbol of hospitality and a way to display a household's silver during the Victorian era.
*** There are a few chips on the bottom of the rim of the base. They are not visible when placed down. There are zero chips on the sawtooth edge. ***
It measures approximately 7" tall and 3 3/4" at the base. Buy with confidence, careful packaging promised. I love to bundle.
