The Gancini logo is the iconic, instantly recognizable clasp and symbol of the Salvatore Ferragamo brand. The motif was inspired by the wrought-iron gates of the Palazzo Spini Feroni, Ferragamo's headquarters in Florence, and has become a signature element on many Ferragamo products. In this instance, the gold tone Gancini logo flips over to silver (see next to last photo). In very good condition with only some minor scuffing on the back above the heel. Purchased at the Ferragamo store many years ago in San Francisco. The heel is just enough to give that lift that makes whatever you are wearing look better because you carry yourself a bit taller.
