These classic top whorl spindles are handmade with a beautiful pine whorl and a sturdy oak shaft. The wood can be left unfinished or you can finish it any way you prefer. Including the hook, the length is 12 ½ inches. Each of the spindles weighs about 3 ounces (the weight can vary) which makes this a great spindle for medium to heavy weight yarns, although it can be used to spin finer yarns.
