This is a stunning vintage brooch / pendant. It is a Scottish Victorian Revival statement piece from the 1950s. It features a beautiful blue glass faux agate. The outside frame features crowns, crests, swords and more! It features both a pin brooch clasp and a bail for a pendant. Nice weight and quality piece. Great piece to add to your collection!
***Victorian Scottish Jewelry: When Queen Victoria’s acquired Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 1848, that started a trend for all things Scottish. From the Scottish Highlands came a wide variety of beautiful jewelry in silver and gold. Many featured a variety of agates, malachite and amethyst.
Please examine enlarged photos for details and condition. Much more beautiful in real life.
Condition: Good vintage condition; vintage patina consistent with age
Measurements: 2 1/2" wide
Weight: 38 grams
I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
