What a beautiful piece. I wouldn’t have anywhere to where it, so I’m not trying to buy it. Don’t you just love everything made by Italians? I was just in Rome and Florence for the first time and am still blown away!

@sallydehart Si, Grazie! We have a home in Abruzzo, so I buy items for my Posh Closet.

@llfischer09 will you adopt me? I’m an artist and looking for residence for me and my elderly cat! lol
Seriously, I’m an artist. I sold 5 paintings last year, but haven’t felt like painting this last year, until my daughter flew me to Italy to celebrate my 70th birthday.
I couldn’t believe the light. No wonder so many artists flock to Italy. I also have a MA in Museum Studies. I wish I spoke Italian. The entire culture is centered around aesthetics. It’s heavenly.

@sallydehart We are studying Italian at our local university. There are many communities that offer Italian. We also attend an Italian Conversation Table every Thurs. A large group of people gather to discuss a variety of topics in Italian. Also, we both use Duolingo (I highly recommend it).

@llfischer09 how FUN! I recently moved to Portland Oregon and don’t know anyone. Before I went to Italy I used Duolingo. And in grad school I studied Greek & Latin roots.
Thank you for the suggestion about taking a class

, I’d also like to travel to the Perigord Region in southern France. I’ve been reading Martin Walker’s Bruno- Chief of Police and read the Périgord region, especially the Vézère valley, contains over 200 Paleolithic sites, with around 25 to 40 decorated caves, including famous sites like Lascaux. I studied about abstract expressionism in art school. I’m fascinated by prehistoric paintings and have yet to see any of them.
