Vintage 1940s Straw Sailor Hat with Star Studs Black & White Dainty Fascinator

This vintage hat is circa 1940s and it's union made. Finely woven lacquered straw makes a tiny little cap, with a giant grosgrain ribbon along the front that is studded with metal stars and studs in white. The studs do not go through the hat and will not rub on your head. There is a little mesh netting along the brim, and a long loop of it that you can either loop up around the brim again or perhaps pin around your hair. The netting is rather damaged, as vintage netting usually is, and so it's up to you if you want to keep it. This seems to be marked a large, and it does have a hat band, so it may be a children's hat. I think it looks perfectly cute as a jaunty little side-tilt cap myself. Elastic band to keep it on the head. Hat band 18" circumference.
