Meissen’s history goes back to 1710 and was the first high-quality porcelain to be produced outside of the Orient. The famous crossed-swords mark was introduced in 1720 as a trademark. The mark on the bottom of this lovely trinket box dates it from between 1934-1945. The hand-painted blue flowers and insects have the added touch of rich gold accents. The box with lid measures approximately 3 by 2 inches by 1.5 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Be sure to make an offer on this or one of my other listings which feature many unique and hard to find items - Crystal and Glassware, Fine Artwork, Art Glass, Asian Rarities, Celebrity Autographs, Fine Porcelain, Quality Jewelry, Hollywood Memorabilia and much more.
