About the artist...Max Reig work at Colonial Williamsburg during the last half of the 1930's. In the 40's he is listed as having a shop in the old Post Office in Williamsburg. He made and sold pewter and silver items. He was an accomplished silversmith who also made ecclesiastic wares. One of his commissions included 18th century reproduction chandeliers for St Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
