@kiersten_warren they are definitely a men's 9 and not a women's 9, if that makes sense! I sometimes get Ariat boots in my size and sometimes a half size larger and both fit nicely (the half size larger allows for thick socks or insoles)
All that to say, I think if you're looking for 8.5-9 in men's, these might be perfect. They seriously are so comfortably broken in, I was insanely bummed they just were that bit too big. (Leaning more toward men's 9/women's 10 equivalent than would work for me)
