Victorian Lizard Brooch, Matte Gilt over aluminum 2 paste / glass stones embedded Extended pin , Tube w C hook closure Feather like lightweight The backing ungilded metal is very white leading me to believe it is aluminum and NON magnetic. The aged gold color on top appears to be brushed on. Dating from research shows 1890's to early 1900's. Estate Auction piece, no provenance but agreed on the age The stones are set in (pave like) with gilded backing The pin itself is highly magnetic, rusty The lizard has no magnet attraction Rare piece as I've searched many times, many sites with no findings of a similar nature Please ask questions and I will do my best to answer.
