Vintage Chinese Bird Bamboo Jade Ruby Sapphire Opal Gold Filled Pendant Necklace Gold filled chinese double sided jade pendant featuring a scene of a bird on bamboo embedded w multiple gemstones including opal & ruby & the chinese meaning of "longevity" on the opposing side. Approx Specifics: Pendant 1.75”(including hook), 13.1g Necklace 16”L. Spring Ring Closure VTG Chinese export pendant necklace w rich green jade stone framed in ornate gold-plated setting. One side features a bird perched among bamboo & blossoms, accented w ruby & a gorgeous opal stone symbolic of vitality and prosperity. The reverse displays the character 壽 (Shòu), meaning “Longevity,” a traditional blessing of long life. Purchased via an auction as an antique but my guess is that this is a mid-century (1950s–1960’s) revival piece combining beauty, symbolism, and cultural charm. Either way, it’s stunning.
