Antique 1800s Men's Vest w/ Patent Buckle White Cotton Size M

Authentic 19th century men's waistcoat, dating to the late 1800s, featuring a shawl collar, four mother-of-pearl buttons, and double welt pockets. The back has an adjustable waist strap with stamped brass buckle reading PAT. 1868, confirming pre 1900 origin. Fabric is a fine white cotton with subtle ribbed texture. Best fit Men's size medium. Condition: Fair antique condition, with expected wear from age. Inside collar shows fraying. There are a few tiny holes, and faint marks (see photos). Front pockets have wear. Buttons and buckle are intact. Structurally sound overall, a beautiful and still wearable example of Victorian menswear.
