Vintage 1950’s Textured Leaf Brooch Pin Unique Versatile Wearable Art History

Life without a vintage brooch- today’s historical wearable art- as unique as we are….Simply wouldn’t be worth being styled! This is an amazing piece of art from the 1950’s. A vintage-style brooch featuring five stylized leaves arranged in a branch formation. The leaves have a textured, granulated surface with a brushed gold finish. The central stem is smooth and darker in tone. Each leaf has an open cutout design creating negative space. This vintage brooch features history mixed with timeless beauty. Brooches/pendants have been a cherished part of our culture and history since, well almost forever. This brooch or pendant is from my dear friends estate. You would have really liked her. Everyone did. Well respected, deeply loved, her traditions remain with those of us who knew her. She was a tall elegant woman from the old south. She was smart as a whip, yet polite enough to never make anyone feel inferior. She had a sharp wit, full of sass and fun times. It’s behooved to say that this great woman was a fashion leader in her time. She traveled the globe finding jewelry treasures. My friend loved her costume jewelry as much as her fine jewels. She had plenty of both. Often mixing vintage with fine jewels, no one knew the difference. She simply looked glamorous. A true southern aristocrat. Whether serving ice tea on the veranda or hosting a charity gala, she was coiffed to perfection! Whoever gets this piece of vintage charm will surely inherit her love, strength, vigor & sass
