Vintage set of Enesco Redware bookends featuring Asian children, marked "Japan," from the 1950s. The bookends depict a child reading a book, with the bookends themselves shaped like books. They are made of redware pottery with a black glossy finish and red and gold painted details. Due to age, some painted details are a bit worn. No other noted flaws. One bookend measures 5.5” tall. The other measures 6” tall.
