"In Japan the leaf of the gingko tree symbolizes longevity and prosperity. In the Edo Period (1603-1867) the present Okura site was a feudal lord residence called "Gingko Manor," as the estate was surrounded by them. Many of the tall, aged trees are still found on the premises. The pattern of the leaves is, hence, used throughout the hotel as an emblem of the Okura."
Pin is completely gold in color, due to lighting and reflection from box, images show change in gold on leaves but there is no variation in gold color.
