Josefina Montoya is the sixth of the historical characters in the American Girl doll collection that focuses on the lives of various historical characters throughout United States history. Josefina represents the Mexican culture in the New Mexico area under Mexican rule (post Mexican independence from Spain and prior to possession by the United States after the Mexican-American War). Her character is set in 1824 near Santa Fe.

Ivory floral ankle length short sleeve dress. Floral print is rose/yellow/green/blue print on black vine. White scalloped lace trim at bodice and hem. Inverted pleats at empire waist and triple pleats at hem. Scoop neck. Hook-and-loop back closure.
Jacket
Black wool Spencer cropped jacket. Cropped style highlights empire waist on dress. Platter collar. Fully lined with black satin. Four black functioning buttons and snap front closure. Gathered sleeves. Decorative black buttons at cuff with hook-and-loop closures.
