A fascinating and gorgeous bit of fashion history - a Nanty gown. These were made with registered Parisian couture designs for the exclusive boutiques in the US. Gray (approx. Pantone 445) moire + Dusty rose (approx. Pantone 500) silk. Body-fitting, sweetheart bodice. Grecian pleated. Fitted waist. Boning. Dress from waist down is a tulip style. Pleated yet flowing over-skirt. Metal zipper and hooks/eyes, in back. Matching belt. Sz S-M, up to approx. US8. Please check measurements. Model is a 2-4 with 32” bust, 5’3”, wearing very high heels, and it's large on her. Label: Nanty Paris New York Julius Garfinkel & Co. Washington DC. Excellent vintage condition. We only see a faint line of fade along part of the gray overskirt. Didn't lift fully with dry cleaning. We don't feel that it's going to impair wearability and impact in the least.
