This hard to find mid-1930s Clarice Cliff plate from Newport Pottery CO, England depicts a Cotswold English cottage with a stream, cattle and boat scene. It is bordered in a buttery yellow with gold trim. It measures 10.5" in diameter and is 1"H. The maker's mark stamp is Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery Co, England with 2 blue lines. The plate is in excellent shape with a few small wear spots in the yellow border and gold trim. There is no wear on the scene or gold trim. It looks to have been a display piece.
