This quilt, hand stitched on the well-preserved vintage materials, from the early to mid-20th century, is in very good condition. The cotton quilt features complex medallion stitched designs between the red shapes. The blocks, while resembling the letter 'P', are a variation on the very old, traditional Schoolhouse block design. The quilt is shown on a queen-sized bed.
Nana’s circle of ladies in the 1950’s Colorado Springs Home Demonstration Club regularly met and hand stitched quilts such as this one. The quilts were recently found, having been preserved in trunks, after nearly 70 years.
Beautiful quality of craftsmanship, along with the bright fabrics and historical block design make this quilt a gem for your collection.
Minimal stains and some threads that need clipping. Please refer to the pictures as a part of the description.

hi, is it correct that your grandma and her lady friends made this quilt?

@cindyweiner yes they were in the 1950s. My husband’s mom, but I call her my second mom. She passed away a few years ago at 97 years old and we went through her trunks and found them.
