History
Pink depression glass became popular in the United States during the 1920s and 1930s. It was often given away as premiums in cereal boxes or sold at low prices in dime stores, making it accessible to many families during the Great Depression. The light pink hue was achieved by adding small amounts of selenium oxide to the glass mixture.
