These are in like new condition. No signs of wear. The sides of the theigh are angled to allow additional ventilation and g8ves the shorts a fun look! There are several pockets for personal belongings or nutrition built into the shorts. There are two pockets built into the inner side of the front waistband of the shorts (2" opening x 4" wide x 1.5" deep). Pockets are large enough to hold some nutrition for long runs (1 or 2 Gu gel packs, etc). Really nice to have in a pair of running shorts! The back outer waistband has a zippered pocket (4" wide x 1.5" deep). The shorts are two layered in the backside as well, in which there are open areas to allow maximum air flow. I have a pic to show location. Very nice addition for longer endurance sports that require extra ventilation. There are built-in underwear and an elastic internal waistband for added durability.
