Incredible vintage kilt/pleated skirt, reversible, masterful hand tailoring

Wow, this one is special. This vintage kilt has no liner and is fully reversible - just flip it inside out - with similar patterns but different colours on each side. The waistband button fastening and zipper are also reversible, and both are beautifully hand tailored. If you appreciate the art of dressmaking, you'll like this kilt. There are no tags on it at all, which makes sense since it is reversible. Based on the fit on me (pictured), I estimate it to be a size small, or dress size 4. I'm normally a 0-2, XS-S, and it's a bit roomy at the waist. There are also pictures of the measurements, but consider those to be approximate. The material looks and feels like worsted wool, but it could be a blend. It's lighter than it looks, and the pleats twirl around beautifully when you move. The tailoring is really immaculate, and the pleats are so sharp. The zipper is branded "Lightning" which were produced from 1940-1980. The buttons are also special, with a natural, hand-carved look and feel that I can't identify - maybe wood or bone? If I had to guess I would say the kilt is late 1960s, but that's just a guess. Purchased from a premium vintage dealer, and she acquired it from an estate sale. Great condition, with no flaws that I can see. You'll feel like a duchess on her estate wearing this one.
