Vintage Federico Jimenez Turquoise Flower Necklace

This rare amazing turquoise flower design was created by Federico Jimenez and is instantly recognized as his unique style. He was born in the village of Tututepec, Mexico. He received a degree in science and art from the University of Benito Juarez in Oaxaca, Mexico and then moved to California. Jimenez became fascinated with Meso-American jewelry and clothing as a child when he and his father unearth a Pre-Columbian Mixtec Indian pectoral buried under their house. His jewelry has been exhibited at the Anthropological Museum of Mexico City. This rare and gorgeous J piece is stamped twice! My My mom purchased it in 2013 at the Houston Texas Galleria, for $1055.44 from a store where every piece was stunning and hard to find. Includes original receipt.
