Ballet Dancer Oil Painting Framed Art

Original framed 8”x8” abstract oil painting featuring a ballet dancer in a green dress. Perfect for someone who loves ballet and energetic art. “Love Is” Artist Statement: The inspiration for this painting originated from a simple angle at the dancer’s sacrum infusing her movement. I wanted to move away from the dancer into the energetic story unfolding…and I started moving in that direction. Then, I was overcome with the desire to incorporate the color green, symbolic of growth in my mind. My focus shifted to the dancer, and the atmosphere and colors then shifted. The heavy blocks representing the past softened and were absorbed into the blue-green wash. The angles all became less important as the energetic flow from her heart, mind and sacrum became more defined. The dancer’s presence became more central as her “narrative” lost its edges; her gaze, refined. I am reminded that, sometimes, we need to enter fully into what we are wanting to move beyond…a radical acceptance of what “is”. Rebecca A. Williams 11/18/25
