Any U.S. Military Uniform Item that bears the Eagle Global & Anchor (EGA) on the Uniform is Subject to Military Codes & Regulations and should be worn with Honor not an article of clothing to casually wear in public. There are Stolen Valor Federal Laws regarding the U.S. Military Uniform Code. Respectfully, Retired U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

@salty1371 Thank you for sharing your perspective. This is a legally obtained vintage surplus garment being sold as clothing, and no military affiliation or service is being represented.

@sageandthread Not the garment, issue is with the Insignia on pocket. Vintage military UNIFORM garment is fine to wear in public. USMC logo (EGA) was EARNED only by US Marines wearing that insignia in public and not EARNED the Title of Marine they are disrespecting the Title. Vintage clothing without the logo or non-currently used camo or Uniforms is acceptable. Recommend stitching over the Iron on insignia’s with a patch void of Marine Corps Insignia.

@sageandthread Asking to pass along this information to potential buyers would let others know it’s a sign of respect to Marines and Veterans

@salty1371 Thank you for sharing your perspective. My father was a veteran, and I hold deep respect for service members and the history behind military garments. This jacket is a legally obtained vintage surplus piece that was rescued from a donation outlet and restored with care. It is being sold as clothing, with no military service or affiliation implied, and I hope it finds a home with someone who values its history. I won’t be engaging further on this topic.
