This charming Sampson Bridgwood teapot, crafted in England, features a delicate pink and green rose pattern scattered across a creamy white porcelain base, accented with gold trim and details. Measuring 3 1/4 inches to the top of the handle and 6 3/4 inches from spout to handle, this 14-oz teapot presents beautifully.
Condition: Displays well—features an old chip on the rim of the base and crazing, consistent with age.
Sampson Bridgwood & Son, a historic English pottery, operated from 1820 to 1984, producing fine earthenware and china. This teapot, likely from the 1950s, showcases their classic floral designs, making it a wonderful addition to any vintage teapot collection or English tableware display.
Adding to its history, this teapot was purchased from an antique dealer in Vancouver in 1983 and remained in the same estate until its recent sale, preserving its provenance and ensuring its well-kept condition. The receipt from that 1983 purchase is included.
