lulujasper Thank you for contacting me. I used to have these made in Peru. I was a wholesaler. I do not have a tag except for one that says made in Peru. The yarn I would by for my knitters were 80% alpaca and 20% acrylic. I used to use and still do for some things 100% alpaca, but to be honest for socks and things that were you need the acrylic to keep it lasting. I hope this helps. I appreciate you asking.

lulujasper they are thick, but not sure measurements of it. Alpaca is soft and it has 20 percent acrylic for wear, since it is double it is thicker than usual socks. I use the ones I kept for me for when I go up to Utah. My friends and family that live there love these socks.
