Beautiful vintage nightgown by Emilio Pucci and Formfit Rogers. It is a beautiful sheer dress in a stunning floral print. It has been carefully inspected, and there are no visible flaws, snags, stains, missing buttons, or holes. It’s like it was in a time capsule since the 70s and just came out.
Garment was measured flat and unstretched, and the measurements are as follows:
Bust: 36 inches
Hip/waist: 40 inches
Shoulder to bottom hem: 55 inches
Width at bottom hem: 54 inches
Wrist/sleeve: 7 inches
The story goes, in 1959 Pucci decided that he wanted to expand into lingerie. Rather than do the production in-house, he was advised to look for an established lingerie company that would handle production. Pucci came to the United States, and signed a deal with Formfit Rogers, a Chicago company. Pucci provided the designs which were printed onto nylon tricot. Much of the production took place in a factory in Tennessee. The partnership between Pucci and Formfit Rogers was a very successful one, and why you see the EPFR logo embedded in the design. It ended, however, in 1979 when Formfit Rogers was sold by its parent company to a European conglomerate. Production was moved to Mexico, the company was not managed well, and soon Formfit Rogers went out of business. (Info from Google)
