If you're looking for a really unusual, hard to find piece, look no further. This is a beautiful mystery cranberry glass item, most resembling an apothecary or dresser jar. No one has been able to positively identify it, so I'm going with the most logical description - if you know it to be something else, please let me know! The stopper is a rounded mushroom shape; the neck is clear, fading into a rich cranberry on the body. The base features a brass collar, possibly used to hold the bottle in place on a wooden table or desk. Dark horse possibility? It could be a large Victorian inkwell. There is ONE CHIP on one of the center ring facets, see last photo. The brass base collar shows some wear. This is a great piece for those who love unusual glass!
