This is an Antique Meerschaum Tobacco Pipe in the original Velvet lined case. It is missing the Tobacco Bowl on the top. It is hand carved from Meerschaum, a soft porous mineral that absorbs tobacco tars and nicotine and colors over time with use. The designs are usually derived from Chinese mythology. These pipes are very collectable.
