Iron gate and large “21” logo displayed. Hand rolled edges. Design #26 New York City's exclusive and iconic “21” Club began gifting these silk scarves to VIPs at Christmas in the early 1950s. Scarves were produced in a myriad of designs annually and always included either the iron gates logo, the iconic lawn jockey, or both. Each design is numbered in Roman numerals. These beautiful silk scarves were discontinued in the late 1970s. Sadly, Club 21 closed their doors in 2020 after operating for over 90 years and being remembered as one of the most notable speakeasy’s during the Prohibition Era. What is most critical about these scarves is that they were never for sale, exclusively given as gifts to the club’s intimate regulars.
