Set of 5 1930s Macbeth-Evans Monax Glass American Sweetheart Small Plates

This set of 5 small plates is beautifully crafted from white, opaque "Monax" depression glass. The glass exhibits a faint blue opalescent hue and is known to display a striking "ring of fire" effect when held up to the sunlight, a characteristic highly sought after by collectors. The rims of the plates are adorned with the intricate, delicate etched design of the "American Sweetheart" pattern, a popular motif produced by the Macbeth-Evans Glass Co. between 1930 and 1936.
