This is a great hat for protecting your face from the sun in fall, winter, and spring. It's not particularly thick...it's just fuzzy, so I wouldn't think you'd want to wear it in summer. There is something inside giving it a bit of structure (probably just interfacing). No damage, no flaws, no pet hair, no odor.
