Pair of vintage ceramic covered dishes featuring a luster-style peach glaze with scalloped edges and ornate loop handles. Each lid is hand-painted with a stylized rosebud motif in soft pink and green, suggestive of mid-century European vanity ceramics. Both pieces are hand-numbered: “552” on the base and “E552/10” on the underside of the lids, indicating studio or small-batch production.
The first dish measures approximately 4½ inches tall to the top of the handle, 6 inches wide, and 4½ inches deep. The second measures 3¾ inches tall, 9 inches long, and 3¼ inches deep.
Both have shallow chips under the lid and rim, not visible when displayed. The ridged interiors suggest a drainage function, possibly for soap or vanity use. A charming and mysterious duo for collectors of dresser-top ceramics or lusterware-inspired décor.
Condition: Pre-Owned Fair
