Vintage Great Northern Knitters 100% Wool Sweater – Unisex Size 50 - Purple

A Prince Edward Island classic, this vintage sweater by Great Northern Knitters remains one of their best sellers. Made of 100% wool on a traditional loom, it’s a pullover with a crew neck, wooden buttons and turn back cuffs. As noted on the shop’s website, the original sweater size corresponds to the circumference of the wearer’s chest. The current measurements are as follows: pit-to-pit 28” (71cm) and 27” (68.5cm) long; the sleeves are 31” (79cm) from collar to cuff. This sweater would be ideal for a plus-size person. Note that there are a few small pulls from regular wear – these have been repaired, and are barely visible. Northern Watters Knitwear purchased the assets of Great Northern Knitters in 2007, and continues the tradition of creating handmade sweaters in PEI.
