Very large vintage needlepoint quilt with colorful lovebirds, heart basket, and floral folk-art design. This hand-worked wool needlepoint quilt features a detailed border of birds, flowers, and hearts with a matching center motif, all quilted into a soft cotton backing with diamond stitching. The bold saturated colors and Pennsylvania Dutch–style pattern give it strong visual impact for use as a bedspread, decorative quilt, or statement wall hanging. This is a true mid-century needlepoint quilt, made from printed needlepoint canvas that was hand stitched with wool yarn and then professionally quilted into fabric.
