This is a huge, vintage Afghan Kuchi ring. It features a large red jasper composite stone center. The stone is a big, long oval shape. This is set into a mixed metal, silver and brass colored setting. The ring is very pretty on this with an ornate etched pattern. This is a unisex piece and can be worn by a man or a woman. Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
