Hi! One question, before buying… I am typically an 8/M. I wouldn’t think to size up in this brand. But, considering the measurements and pics, I thought the L might work for me. I carry weight in my stomach (a skirt or dress with no stretch. I need at least an 8, sometimes a 10, even if I could size down in a stretch knit). Trying to assess if these shorts are a true large/too big, or you’d say they run like a generous M?? Appreciate it!

@katiearnold08 Hi! The elastic waistband measures 16" flat (32" total) unstretched. I'd say these fit like a True Large, not a generous Medium. Since you size up to a 10 for stomach comfort, the 32" waist should be very forgiving and not dig in. I recommend measuring a pair of shorts you love...if they are 15.5" to 16" flat, these will be perfect!
