Hardback, 250 pgs, published 1979. No dust cover.
Very good used condition with minor cosmetic wear. Flaws include some small dings on the cover. A couple of tiny page tears. I found two pages with printer's smudges, and a couple of back pages show light edge scuffs. There's also a faded red remainder mark on the edge. ➡️ SEE ALL PICS: some of these issues were tricky to capture but I did my best to get good coverage and examples. Overall, however, this copy is in solid condition--particularly for the age of the book--and the binding is tight. No writing, no highlights.
"A great dancer at the height of his powers shares his feelings about 26 of his roles--such as Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Cappelia, and the new ballets specially created for him."
"After initial training at the Riga Choreography School, Baryshnikov's career began in Leningrad with the famed Kirov Ballet. While on tour in 1974, he defected from the Soviet Union and began dancing for the National Ballet of Canada, and the American Ballet Theatre. His talent, matchless technique, and dynamic style made him an international star, rivaling his compatriot Rudolph Nureyev. Baryshnikov has worked with numerous choreographers, including Balanchine, Robbins, Ashton, and Tharp."🕺
NOTE: LARGE book, 12 x 10 inches and 3 pounds. If bundled, I might have to split the order into 2 packages due to Poshmark shipping rates. My average ship time is <1 day, so multiple packages should still reach you quickly. 🙂
