Rare mid-century modern oblong porcelain dish designed by Alan Compton for the Royal Norfolk Pottery in England sometimes between 1955 and 1960. The interior is smooth, light/creamy green, typical of the 1950’s palette. 9 1/2 in long. The dish has a light blue, textured exterior, with thre manufacture’s stamp at the bottom. Alan Compton was the designer for the Royal Norfolk Pottery known for his "Alan Compton Creations" series of innovative designs. Collectible. In good vintage conditions, minor wear on the bottom of the dish. .
