Vintage Royal Doulton Sairey Gamp Toby Mug

Vintage Royal Doulton Sairey Gamp character jug (or Toby mug), (small), which is a collectible ceramic item. It is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks. The jug depicts Sairey Gamp, a gin-drinking, gossiping nurse character from Charles Dickens' 1843 novel Martin Chuzzlewit. These character jugs were designed by Leslie Harradine/Harry Fenton and produced by Royal Doulton in England, with this particular design dating from approximately 1935 to 1986.
