This gorgeous vintage “Sweetheart” bracelet is a D.F.B. famous “Carmen” gold stretch bracelet that was produced in the U.S.A. sometime prior to 1922 so it is over 100 years old. (See photos for information about the history of this company.) The bracelet’s center cameo is absolutely exquisite and is in excellent condition. Many of the “Carmen” bracelets have an etched heart or faceted glass rhinestone in the center so the beautiful cameo is rarer and very unique. Inscribed on the inside of the bracelet are the words: “The D.F.B. Co./Carmen/Made in U.S.A.” It is difficult to discern the inscription, so included in the photos are two enlarged photos displaying this. The cover of the back side of one of the links of the stretch band is missing and there is a photo of this as well. (This is not visible when wearing the bracelet.) The bracelet stretches to just over 8” and is 1/2” wide. As stated in the company’s history these bracelets are highly collectible. Please let me know what question(s) you may have.
