Vintage 1950s Very Rare Gorgeous Fit and Flare Taffeta Cocktail Dress Size S

This rare vintage dress is a sophisticated cocktail fit and flare dress, classic example of 1950s mid-century "New Look" silhouette fashion. Crafted from gorgeous black and iridescent blue woven taffeta fabric with a full flared skirt created by chevron seaming and inverted pleats at the center front of the skirt to add volume and graceful movement. The bodice is expertly shaped, featuring a textured scalloped motif on the chest, slight V-neckline with a small stand up wing collar and 3 decorative jeweled buttons (not functional). Short cap sleeves, left side zipper and oversized patch pockets on the hips with the same textured scalloped motif. Pit to Pit 17 Inch Waist 28 Inch Length 44 Inch. May fit Size S.
