Gold lame Hugh Garber was born in Montreal and studied fashion design in London, England Rare find from the Holiday Line Collection for the Margo Dress Co. Montreal has some of Canada's most iconic and striking vintage fashion. This beautifully draping, gold lame hot pants ensemble with covered buttons, retains the glamour of the era in an iconoclastic way. This is one of the rare finds from Hugh Garber's holiday line collection for the Margo Dress Company in Montreal. It measures - shorts Waist 25" Hips 34" Length 33" Lined. Waist might fit 26" (snug fit). The dress is lined at the top. It has four covered buttons on each cuff and a row of fourteen covered buttons down the front. It measures shoulder to shoulder 14" Bust 34" Waist 26" Sleeves 28" to drape over buttoned cuffs. Hips have more leeway 34-36" Length is 53" It has a four inch wide band at the waist. Probably a size 4-6. It is in very good condition.
