Made special for my Dad and worn in a 70s Hollywood Western, this is a Viking Mexico leather double holster and gun belt rig, specifically identified and numbered 357. It’s crafted from tooled leather with intricate floral or scrollwork designs.
It's made from high-quality, handcrafted, tooled leather, often featuring distinctive patterns.
It includes a wide belt with cartridge loops for ammunition and two holsters designed to carry pistols or revolvers.
These rigs are popular for Western-themed events, historical reenactments, or as collectible items for enthusiasts of Western memorabilia.
The leather is in very good condition and comes with 10 original bullets. They may be blanks but unsure. There are a few bullet loops that need help with stitching.
My Pop’s initials are branded on the inside of the belt.
When belt buckle is attached, it’s most like a 32-34 waist as that’s what he was but it doesn’t specifically say. Plus, this should be looked at as a collectible item, not an everyday rig at all.
Dad wasn’t a famous actor but was in a bunch of films typically in bit roles but worked with some incredible actors. And you probably will not have heard of him from his acting days - Sanford Gurney. This specific movie was a black exploitation film called (and using an unfortunate word in our society) “Soul of N∫¢¢∑® Charley”. The belt was worn in every seen he was in and shot at Old Tuscon Studios in Tuscon, AZ.
