Capes are back in style and this blast from the past is ready to keep you warm. I mean that quite literally! The timeless style of a classic distinctive tartan constructed and designed with Irish wool and craftsmanship. This cape will truly last a lifetime, it’s that well made. I’m the second owner- my aunt purchased it during her first trip to Ireland in the late 1960s. There is discoloration on the interior purple lining in areas (see photo) but there are no tears or other flaws. It measures 30” from shoulder to hem, 27” across and 18” across the front section. It’s very generous with sizing and I’d classify it as a broad medium- would fit a size 6, 8 or 10. The high standup collar is secured by one snap closure and 4 buttons. Two functional patch pockets on the front. The timeless style of the cape has the arm slits that allow for ease of movement while maintaining an elegant drape. A 62” long x 1.5” wide belt is also included. There are no belt loops so the belt can be easily adjusted for someone long or short waisted although I prefer the look without any belt at all. Whether you’re braving Dublin’s weather or just the latest Arctic blast here in the US, this ladylike gem is ready to twirl through all the flurries!
