These shells were purchased in 1980's in the Philippines. They have been wrapped and stored in a box in a closet for quite a few years. One photo has an area at one end that does look like a little break in the shell and it is circled in red. The measurements are shown in photos (next to a ruler). They are overall very nice; the natural colors and design are beautiful and would make a nice addition to a home, especially with a beach or nautical theme.
