The Ojibwe people originally constructed dream catchers by tying sinew strands in a web around a small round or tear-shaped frame of willow. They would hang them over the beds of sleeping children to protect them from nightmares. Only the good dreams could get through. Bad dreams would be caught in the web and disappear with the light of day.
These 14K Gold plated dream catcher earrings are about an inch and 1/4 wide and hang about 2 inches from your ear. Tiny seed beads surrounds the circle.
Colorful Metallic thread woven in the circle to catch the dreams and gold Hook wire closure.
These belonged to my mother, she purchased them in the early 90s from a Indian girl in North Carolina, who made these and several others listed here in my closet
